Hello,
I had some text content created for me back in 2005 and at the same time I created some images (original ones). When I used them on an old website I had © 2005 XYZ Company Ltd in the bottom corners of my images. I have since recreated these images and post them on a community site (squidoo) but so they don’t look dated display XYZ Company Ltd in the bottom corners.
I recently found a company on the same site (squidoo) has just copied the original images even leaving my ©2005 XYZ Company Ltd in the bottom corners and just pasted all the text on to the page.
Is this an open and shut case? I know I can complain to Squidoo and get it removed but this is the 4th time this has happened now and it’s getting annoying. Can I just send out an invoice for use of copyright material? Or do I need to send a letter too. I assume they will ignore the letter and quickly change the pages but I want to start chasing people to stop them doing it. Can I do something that will make people learn.
Any advice?
Cheers
Images and text just copied... Open and Shut case?
