Hi all,
I'm new here so please excuse me if this subject has already been discussed. I've looked but if I've missed it, please feel free to point me in the right direction!!
I have recently set up my own interior design company after working for other companies for the past 7 years. In the last company I worked for, I designed and managed 6 large scale, high budget projects. One of these clients I have kept in touch with as they preferred working with me to my old boss. The project has now finished and they have asked me back to do the 'finishing touches'.
I'd LOVE to be able to take photographs of this house and put it on the portfolio on my website. The project was designed by me but when I worked for the other company. Can I go there and take my own photographs? I'm assuming that so long as the client is happy with this (which they are), it is not up to the other design company?
Would really appreciate any advice people may have.
Many thanks,
Lauren

Dear Andy,
Firstly, I can't thank you enough for such a detailed and informative reply. I really appreciate you taking the time to answer my query so thoroughly.
It does seem to be a bit of a grey area but I will take your advice and take a chance with it when the time comes to put the images on my website. At the very least, I can keep the photographs in my own portfolio and showcase them to clients on a one-to-one basis rather than on my website.
Thanks again for your reply. I have printed it out so I can refer to it again!
With best wishes,
Lauren
