Infingement Problem

Post by superspeed »

Hello.

Im a photographer and i recently found one of my pictures had been taken and used on a myspace profile (i know its not the person in the photo with the profile)

Is it possible i can claim copyright infringement and start action agaisnt the poster of the profile picture. Would it be too expensive to bother as it looks to be non profit and just using it?

Does anyone know how much it would cost to begin proceedings, and would a lawyer take something like this on a contingency basis?

Thanks

Your best option in the first place would be to complain to mySpace. If they are notified that they are hosting infringing material on their site, they should (if they are a responsible organisation) take quick action to remove your work.
