Licensing questions

I am considering purchasing some images from a website:
And I found in the license agreement https://depositphotos.com/license.html :

If the File is used to create an item NEITHER for Resale NOR for Free Distribution, the Standard License is always appropriate.
If the File is used to create an ...

pirate softwares resposibility

Our church asked some freelancers to produce a video for us. And we happen to find that some of the freelancers use pirate software. We don't know exactly where they are. My question is that, since all their final works are made for the church, will our church be responsible for their such behavior ...

Is it a copyright infringement to sing a song publicly?

Hello,

I have a question regarding the music copyright. I know that using others' work without the permission is the infringement of copyright. But is there an exception? For example, to sing a song in a not public place, such as in the school, in an office, or in a party, in a church? Or to sing ...

Just feel it's beyond what I know... If a CCTV footage can be copyrighted, then who will be the author? Maybe the one who turns the camera on?
Law is interesting :D

what about the rule of the shorter term doesn't apply?

Hello,

I have a question about the copyright protection in different countries. I noticed a copyright work is protected in most countries for 70 years after the death of author but some countries have longer or shorter time. For example, if a work is created in China, which will be protected 50 ...

what is public information?

I noticed that on "RT News", the legal disclaimer says:Information presented on this website is considered public information (unless otherwise noted in material) and may be distributed or copied for non-commercial (personal, educational, research etc.) purposes.

What is public information? Does it mean public domain? Like this video(https://www.rt.com/in-motion/357847-typ ... l-footage/) is marked as "/RT", and this one:https://www.rt.com/in-motion/357298-mul ... hina-lake/ "©ï¸￾RT", and this one: "https://www.rt.com/in-motion/329550-exc ... age-syria/"nothing, this one :https://www.rt.com/uk/358165-anti-brexi ... st-izzard/"©ï¸￾Ruters". which kind of mark means I can copy them for non-commercial use as in the disclaimer?

Is the news copyrighted?

Hello,
I noticed that only creative work with originality can be copyrighted. For some news videos, like this:https://ruptly.tv/vod/20151102-041 can it also be protected by copyright? It just recorded the fact, but it is sold on the website at a price starting at 50 EURO. If I use short clips(like ...
