What is the duration of copyright in a french broadcast pre-1957? Any idea?

Is the duration of copyright for all categories of work the same in the EU?

Any advice or links to information on the above 2 questions would be appreciated

issue 1 - you need the permission of the copyright owner to use them. you could contact the publisher of the recording which should be available from the CD cover

issue 2 - so long as the playing of the tracks are for purposes of instruction and the audience involved include students, tutors and ...

Can I copy a quotation from a website and then give it out in handouts to the people? Would this be considered as making multiple copies?

I have two interesting questions.

1) Copyright in the case of employee created works belong to employer. What is the duration of copyright in such employer owned works (any work)? And how is it calculated? I have not been able to find anything in the statute (CDPA 1988) which clearly answers ...
